Competitor Instagram — their cadence, top posts, and content signals

Instagram is where a competing practice shows its best self — the new smile reveals, the before-and-after photos, the special offers. The Instagram section on a competitor’s page reads all of that publicly and lays it out so you can see their rhythm and what’s actually landing, without scrolling their feed yourself. (Reviews still decide bookings — see Competitor Google reviews — but their posts tell you what they’re selling and how.)

How to use it

Open a competitor from Competitors and find the Instagram section. At the top you’ll see their follower count, post count, and bio. Below sits a grid of every captured post — each tile shows its date and format (carousel, reel, photo); hover for likes and comments, or click to open it full size with its caption. Scroll the grid to see them all, and tap Show 50 more from Instagram to reach deeper into their back catalogue.

The Instagram insights card is the AI read: their posting cadence, the themes that recur, which formats perform best, and where they’re leaving room you could take. A short line under the title tells you how many posts the read is based on and when it last refreshed — so you know how much signal it had and how fresh it is.

Why only public Business accounts work

The app reads Instagram the way any visitor can — it can only see practices on public Business or Creator accounts. A private or personal account can’t be tracked, the same way you couldn’t browse a private feed yourself.

Worked example

The clinic across the road posts five times a week, almost all reels of whitening reveals, and their Friday reveal reels consistently outperform their flat photos. The insight card flags it: video reveals are their engine, still photos are dead weight. Dr. Nok notes the angle and plans her own reveal reel — built from a genuine before-and-after photo with patient consent on file — in the Composer.
